I saw a red cube in an art museum in downtown PDX. It was just sitting on the ground on the third floor maybe? I’d say it was just under 3ft by 3ft by 3ft by.. you get my point its a cube.. But I had so many questions racing through my mind. This needed to be shown to the world. This concept, whatever it was, could not just be locked away in the artists mind. It had to birthed and given to the world. And what did it mean? To the artist emotionally, what it might have represented. What did he feel when he looked at his finished work? Did it truly express a deeply held belief, that needed to be shared with the world? Is it a perfect physical construct of an idea or complex set of ideals, morals, and the artists views on life and existence its-self? I can only speculate on the meaning and reason for such profound acrylic expression. I accomplished work, with pride I’d hope. Who knows how long it took the poor guy, or lady, or cuboid-identifying person of color (red, in this case. the cube is bright red) to construct it, both in the design and preparation of the detailed concept, as well as the physically demanding execution of this project. This type of dedication and genius could have taken years, even days to finish. It was made of an acrylic, plastic-like plastic substance. Its construction, fused together by what appears at first glance to be advanced alien technology. Or perhaps a type of magick or alchemy, dark arts lost but to a select few. This is clearly some kind of super, glue-like substance. Pointless to debate miracles I suppose.
I guess the artist did something right, I remembered the damn thing
